Lenten Study Groups
BeginS March 10
Join the Lenten small group for study, prayer, and support during this season. We meet on Sunday morning in the Lydia Room.
April 14, 8:45 am and 11:15 am
Passion / Palm Sunday begins Holy Week, a time in the church year when we remember how Christ gave his life in love for the world. A time of celebration and praise, shouts of “Hosanna!” and a crowd waving palm branches wanting to crown Jesus as king. Join FPCA by shouting praises and chanting psalms with a parade of palms. Join us ten minutes before worship at the Turquoise Tables to join the palm procession on this Palm Sunday.
April 18, 7 pm
On Maundy Thursday we remember the new commandment that Christ gave us in word and deed as he taught us how to love one another, washing our feet as a servant. The Lord's Supper is also celebrated, remembering the meal Christ shared with his disciples before his death.
April 19, 7 pm
A service of darkness and remembrance commemorating Christ's final hours. The service will be centered around Heinrich Schütz’s “Seven Last Words from the Cross.”
Sunday, April 21
Sunrise Service at 6:30 am
Gather early Easter morning to celebrate the resurrection. Join us in the courtyard (rain or shine), dress warmly and comfortably - even pj’s are welcome, and BYO chair or blanket to sit.
Services at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am
Celebrate Christ's resurrection and new life with an Easter service filled with Easter hymns and the joyful praise of the FPCA brass ensemble and our choir. Please bring a flower or greenery and help us “flower” the Easter cross in the sanctuary courtyard before worship.
