Labor Day Sunday: Special Worship & Chicken Fried Fellowship
Sunday, August 31, 2025
Worship at 10:00 AM | Fellowship Lunch at 11:15 AM
Location: First Presbyterian Church of Austin, Sanctuary & Fellowship Hall
On Labor Day weekend, take a moment to pause and reconnect—with community, with joy, and with the God who walks with us in every season. Through toe-tapping worship music and a shared meal around the table, we’ll celebrate the gift of being together. Whether you come full of questions or just hungry for connection, you’re welcome here. We’ll save you a seat.
Our 10 AM worship service will feature live music from the Sons of the Salt Fork band, bringing rich harmonies and heartfelt songs to enrich our time together. All ages are welcome to enjoy this special musical offering woven into our worship.
After the service, gather for a fried chicken fellowship lunch at 11:15 AM in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll provide the chicken—including a gluten-free option. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share as we enjoy community and conversation together. Please register for lunch to assist with food count.
Over our Chicken Fried Fellowship lunch, we’ll hear from Andi Brauer, Central Presbyterian’s Neighbors Program Manager, about the vital work of Central Mission with our unhoused neighbors — and how we, as ministry partners, can deepen our support.
This joyful Sunday is a perfect opportunity to invite a friend, connect with others, and experience the warmth of our church community.
All are welcome—newcomers, longtime members, children, and visitors. Join us at First Presbyterian Church of Austin this Labor Day weekend for a Sunday of music, gratitude, and good food!
