Build Beds, Bring Hope
Saturday, November 1 | 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Sleep in Heavenly Peace Warehouse: 5900 E. Ben White Blvd.
Every child deserves a safe place to sleep. Yet, too many children in our community go without a bed of their own. On Saturday, November 1, First Presbyterian Church of Austin and Faith Presbyterian are partnering through a Better Together grant from Mission Presbytery to host a Bed Build & BBQ through Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
This event is more than a service project—it’s a way to live out our call to love our neighbors and create lasting change. Together, we’ll work toward our goal to build, outfit, and deliver 50 beds for children in need right here in Austin.
How You Can Participate:
Volunteer for the Bed Build (all ages welcome—kids under 18 must be with an adult). No experience required; just bring gloves, wear work clothes and sturdy shoes, and come ready to serve. Sign up for the bed build.
Help with Setup, Cleanup, or Parking—every hand helps make the day go smoothly. Sign up to help with the bed build.
Donate Bedding—help provide sheets, comforters, and other essentials. Purchase items from this Amazon wishlist.
Deliver Beds on December 6—join the joy of bringing these finished beds into the homes of children. Sign up to help deliver beds.
Provide Monetary Support—Give funds to help us build, outfit, and deliver 50 beds to kids in need! Donate to this project.
To keep spirits high, our very own Holy Smokers group will fire up the grill and provide a delicious BBQ lunch for volunteers during the bed build on November 1.
This is a family-friendly event that connects service, fellowship, and impact. Whether you’re building, serving, or sharing a meal, you’ll be part of something bigger—ensuring kids in our community can rest well, dream big, and thrive.
