"We are the clay, and you are our potter. We are the work of your hands.” Isaiah 64:8
Leader: God is Good…
Youth: All the time!
Leader: All the time…
Youth: God is good!
Come discover how good, no, GREAT your relationship with God can be! FPC wants youth to grow with God and one another through fellowship, mission, prayer, bible study, and worship.
Youth in grades 6 through 12 are always welcome!
First we eat breakfast-like food (yes, we love to eat... so church members help feed us), then we relax on our comfy futons, hear how God is working in our lives by studying life stories and the Bible together, and pray with each other. Middle school and high school meet in separate groups. Come to the Youth Suite this Sunday!
Sunday Evening Fellowship
Youth Group! What do we do? …Eat dinner together and energize!… Monthly we address a special current event or social challenge in our PowerHouse session, but sometimes we play Ding Dong Hockey, eat Gutter Ice Cream, compete in Watermelon Olympics, play sardines, cook millions of pancakes for the Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper, reverse trick or treat to collect for the community food pantry, go schlitter at the “Bahn”, have a Christmas candy bar swap, and always, end with prayer and "candle time” together.
Retreats and Trips
FPC Youth love retreats! We go to John Knox Ranch, Jr. High Jubilee at Mo Ranch, Sr. High Celebration at Mo Ranch, the Mo-TLC (Teen Leadership Conference), Confirmation Retreat, and of course, we take a Youth Mission Trip each summer!
Presbyterian Youth Triennium, Summer 2016
FPC is sends youth to Triennium, the national Presbyterian youth church conference held once every three years in Perdue, Indiana.
FPC sponsors Boy Scout Troop 1, the oldest troop continuously sponsored troop in Austin, Texas. In 2011, Troop 1 celebrated its 100th birthday!
