Serve at Church

BE A HOLY HOST

We show our love for God and our church family by serving our church. We build community and friends by greeting each other on Sunday mornings, serving communion together, helping count the offering, and assisting one another to church and to a seat at church. There are so many ways to serve at church.

Volunteer on Sunday Mornings

Are you available this month and looking for new opportunities to serve? We need Holy Hosts, liturgists, A/V volunteers, and more. Reach out to our engagement coordinator to make a difference at FPCA.

Food on the First

The food pantries in Austin need our help to feed the hungry. On the first Sunday of the month, bring a sack of groceries to the church after worship to help fill the pantry shelves at Manos de Cristo. We strive to provide small bottles of cooking oil, and small bags of flour and sugar to help families cook. The other non-perishable items needed include: peanut butter, tuna, canned vegetables, canned tomatoes, hearty soups, canned or dried beans, and rice.

Bring Us Your Small Toiletries

Do you always bring extra hotel toiletries home from a trip? We always need toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toothbrushes. Are you a Sam’s Club or Costco shopper? Grab a big package of toothbrushes, toothpaste, or disposable razors. Drop your toiletries in the bins in our entry. Supplies are used to build dignity bags for the homeless and hygiene kits for disasters like hurricanes at our mission workdays.
